Transmedia NZ, in partnership with MINA (Mobile Innovation Network Aotearoa), invites participants to take part in a ‘documentary challenge’ to record the launch of Project CONNECT, a unique multi-platform modern art exhibition.

MINA (Mobile Innovation Network Aotearoa) will hold a mobile video workshop on Saturday 27 August to support participants who would like to create a mobile-mentary for the documentary challenge.

Project CONNECT Documentary Challenge Guidelines

1) Your documentary must be a record of the Project CONNECT launch event on the 27th August, 2011. (You will need to be at the event). Your video should highlight the theme of connection.

2) Documentaries may use any kind of media (video, still images, mobile phone, audio, drawings, animation, text, collage etc) and be of any duration, but all projects MUST be completed and uploaded to the Transmedia NZ Vimeo channel by 12pm, Monday 29 August.

3) We encourage you to push the boundaries of documentary. Think differently, capture something new and unusual and present an original perspective.

All eligible submissions will be showcased on the Transmedia NZ website and Facebook page and the MINA website. The best entry (judged by MINA, Transmedia NZ and Big VOICE) will be featured in the Project CONNECT print publication and in the Project CONNECT global exhibition.

MINA Mobile Video Workshop details

A workshop will be held on Saturday 27 August lead by Max Schleser and Laurent Antonczak (Mobile Innovation Network Aotearoa).

The hands-on workshop will cover tips and tricks for shooting for the small screen.

 

Location: The BizDojo, IRONBANK Building, Suite 205, 150 Karangahape Rd, Auckland,

Time & Date: 3pm to 5pm.

An optional follow-up session will be held on Sunday 28 August at The BizDojo from 10.30am to 2pm to provide post-production support to help participants complete their projects for the Project CONNECT Documentary Challenge.

The workshop is limited to 10 participants.
