SmartFone Flick Fest is Australia’s international smartphone film festival for filmmakers of all ages. We are a world-wide festival open to anyone with a smartphone or tablet and a great idea for a short film.
SF3 provides a platform for budding, emerging and professional filmmakers to bring their ideas to life and have their films seen by a global audience, without the need for lots of fancy equipment or a big budget.
At SF3, we are committed to the democratisation of filmmaking; helping to make filmmaking affordable and accessible to all. 2022 is our 8th year and we have received thousands of films over the past 7 years, both shorts and features, from over 50 countries, all shot on phones or tablets. Our festival is held in Sydney, Australia in our Spring every year and we now screen the fest online too. We host panel discussions throughout the year with some of the cream of Australia’s film industry experts including SF3 Festival ambassadors: Phillip Noyce, Kriv Stenders, Nicole da Silva, Kerry Armstrong, Pieter de Vries, Jon Bell, Stan Grant, Emily Prior, Jason van Genderen and Christopher Stollery. We are also passionate educators and teach smartphone filmmaking workshops to filmmakers of all levels and ages around both Australia and the world.
We are open for entries, so find out more and enter at www.sf3.com.au
